Junior Jake Fendt carded an even-par 72 to highlight the Kennesaw State men’s golf team’s play during Monday’s second round of the Linger Longer Invitational at the par-72, 7,073-yard Great Waters Golf Course at Reynold’s Lake Oconee.
After 36 holes, Fendt and Pablo Rodriguez-Tabernero Torres are tied for 30th at 1-over par 145, one shot behind Wyatt Larkin, who sits at even-par 144 and tied for 26th.
The Owls shot a 12-over par 300 and are in 11th place with a two-round total of 12-over par 588. Georgia, which led after Sunday’s opening round, turned in a 2-under 286, and maintains the lead, one shot ahead of No. 8 Alabama (559, -17).
Georgia’s Davis Thompson holds the 36-hole lead at 12-under par 132, three shots in front of Alabama’s Lee Hodges (135, -9).
The Linger Longer Invitational concludes on Tuesday with the Owls scheduled to tee off at 8:30 a.m. on the 10th hole. Kennesaw State will be grouped with Middle Tennessee State and Troy.
