samSam Crenshaw is a veteran
Sports Reporter and television Sports Anchor. He is Weekend Morning Host on Entercom Radio’s Sports Radio 92.9 The Game. The Sports Anchor for CW69 News at 10 , Sam is also a producer/ correspondent for City of Atlanta TV (ATL 26) . Crenshaw is a broadcaster and content producer for GPB Sports. Sam currently serves as Sideline Reporter for the Georgia State University Panther Football Radio Network and  is play by play voice for Georgia State basketball on ESPN3 . Sam is known in the Atlanta community for his knowledge of local athletes and teams as well as his passion for playing tennis.

A Birmingham, AL native, Sam worked at WXIA-TV from September of 1998 until August of 2014. Winning the 2003 Emmy Award winner for Best Sports Performer. Sam came to 11Alive from WFMY-TV, Gannett’s CBS affiliate in Greensboro, North Carolina where he served as sports anchor/reporter  for 7 years .

Prior to his work at WFMY-TV, Crenshaw was the Sports Director at WRDW-TV in Augusta, Georgia for five years. Crenshaw also served as the anchor for “Black College Sports Today” on ESPN, a weekly program that focuses on athletics at the nation’s historically black universities. Sam also served as sideline reporter and play-by-play voice for college football on ESPN2.  Crenshaw currently hosts USTA Southern’s Talking Tennis Southern Style podcast , he has also hosted Matchpoint Atlanta, a weekly tennis program that aired regionally on Sportsouth and locally on 11Alive. Sam has received the USTA’s Media Excellence Award and serves on the board of USTA Georgia.  In addition, Sam has been Sideline Reporter for Atlanta Falcons Radio, the play by play voice for the Celebration Bowl Radio Network.

Sam is a graduate of the University of West Georgia. During his college years, Sam was an announcer at WSB-FM. He also is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Sam and his wife Phyllis live in Suwanee .
