The Georgia State Panthers have completed their preparations for their showdown with Wyoming in the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl. The past 4 days have been filled with activities, entertainment and breathtaking views of the Tucson area. The hospitality at this bowl game is second to none. This will be an adventure the Pathers will long remember.
There still remains the reason we made this trip to the desert in the first place. A very tough Wyoming team awaits in the just the third postseason game every for GSU. President Mark Becker made mention of that while addressing the crowd at the Arizona Bowl pep rally yesterday. Indeed Georgia State football has come a long way in just 10 years.
Now to set the tone for the next 10 years . A win over Wyoming would go a long way to getting the next decade of GSU football off to a great start. The Panthers willlook to rally around senior quarterback Dan Ellington one more time. His courage in the face on injury has been an inspiration to his teammates and to all who follow the Georgia State program.
It will be a classic battle to teams who love to run the football, and promises to be a hard hitting affair. I’m just glad that I get to be here to witness it all in person..
