Turner Sports and CBS Sports have added Georgia State men’s basketball coach Ron Hunter as guest studio analyst for the 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship airing across TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV.
Hunter will join Ernie Johnson, Steve Smith and Seth Davis from Turner Studios in Atlanta. Coverage begins at 6 p.m. ET both nights as the Sweet 16 dwindles down to the Elite 8 before the weekend.
The group will also be joined by Hunter’s son R.J., who helped cap the Panthers comeback over No. 3 Baylor in the second round of the NCAA tournament with a 30-foot 3-pointer with 2.6 seconds to play. He will be a part of the pregame coverage on Thursday night at 6 p.m. ET.
“The last two weeks have been a great experience for the entire Georgia State community,” Ron Hunter said. “I was honored that the group at Turner Sports and CBS called and are giving me this opportunity.”
Georgia State finished the season with a 25-10 record, tied for the second-most wins in program history. The Panthers are one of just 20 programs in the nation to win at least 25 games in each of the last two seasons.
