It was in many ways fitting that Brant Snedeker would return to the PGA Tour’s winner circle at Pebble Beach. It was on the Northern California coast that Snedeker set a course record while winning the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am two years ago. Sunday , Snedeker carded a final round 5 under par 67 to finish at 22 under par, topping his own course record by 2 shots. The Vanderbilt Alum is now ranked among the top 50 in the world, which gets him back in to the World Golf Championships events, and The Masters.

The 2012 FedEx Cup Champion, Snedeker won at Pebble Beach in 2013, but struggles with his game in 2014 resulted in his ranking dropping outside the top 50 and being left off the Ryder Cup team. After working on his swing with Butch Harmon a visit to Pebble Beach seemed to be just what the doctor ordered as Snedeker responded with four rounds that included only one bogey.

“The last year and a half has not been up to my standard”, said Snedeker, who trailed 54 hole leader Jim Fuyrk going into the final round at Pebble Beach. Furyk shot a disappointing final round 74 and finished at 16 under par.

For his first victory since the 2013 Canadian Open , Brandt Snedeker get’s a first place check for 1 million , 224 thousand dollars. He also gets 500 FedEx points, but perhaps the most important thing that Snedeker gets is an invitation to return to Augusta and play in the 2015 Masters Tournament.
The 2012 Tour Championship Winner had a 6th place finish at Augusta National in 2013, and a 3rd place finish in 2008.

No doubt, Brandt Snedeker can’t wait to get back to Augusta to match his game up against the world’s very best golfers, and see if he can keep the green jacket in the Southeastern Conference.
